Oregon Road

The Oregon Road paintings feel more historical to me because the collected found images to create the collages spanned many years. The collages were then interpreted and translated with paint on a raw linen background. They were created in a converted garage in the Northfork of Long Island on farmland with exceptional natural light. Oregon Road is an US Historic Scenic Highway with old potato farms, modest victorian houses, barns and outbuildings. This country environment greatly influenced the style of the series.
